27 3월 이제부턴 특별히 말을 조심해야 해!

부활절을 얼마 앞두고 화분에?밀씨를 심었습니다.

밀씨가 땅 속에서 죽은 듯 누워있다가 다시 살아나는 이야기를 들려줍니다.

그리고 정말 지성으로 기도도 하였습니다.

기도를 하고나서 얼마 있다가 한 친구가 다른 친구의 화분에 저주의 말^^을 했다가

대판 싸움이 벌어졌다는 소식을 듣고는

그 친구의 화분에 부적처럼 작은 끈을 둘러주기도 하였지요.

아이들은 아침이나 저녁이나 화분을 들여다보고

기도도 하고 좋은 말도 해 주었습니다.

며칠 전, 드디어? 싹이 터 올라오는 화분이 몇몇 발견되었고,

교실은 환희로 가득찼습니다.

점심을 먹다가 한 친구가,

“이제부터는 우리 모두 특별히 더 말을 조심해야 해! 밀씨가 더 잘들으니까”

합니다.

모두들 수긍을 하고, 순간 조용해 지면서 밥을 먹는데…

다른 한 친구가

“사실 밀씨가 없더라도 말은 조심해야지”

라고 해서 저는 속으로 적잖이 놀랐어요….^^

그렇게 며칠이 지났는데….

금요일 저녁 마침 시간에

한 친구가 제게 볼멘 소리로 말합니다.

“선생님 저 끈 (전에 둘러주었던 끈)? 저도 해 주시면 안 돼요?”

저는 그 마음을 짐짓 모른 체하고

“그 끈은 특별한 사정이 있는 건데… 여러분도 알고 있죠?”

했어요.

그랬더니, 여기 저기서

최수정 선생님이 그러는데 박지연 선생님께 부탁드려보라고 했다,

등등 이야기를 하면서

자못 심각합니다.

거절할 수 없는 부탁입니다, 참으로…^^

부활절 달걀을 그리면서,

한편으로 밀씨가 잘 자라도록 축복하는 끈을 만들면서,

또 다음 다음 주에 처음으로 저와 치르게 될 생일을 맞은 아이의 선물을 준비하면서

올해 부활절은 더욱 큰 기쁨으로 차오릅니다.
